Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your MancsNaptár account on the web and in the mobile app, what is erased and what is kept.

1. How to delete it

Sign in, open the Profile page and, at the bottom, in the Danger zone, choose Delete my account. Type DELETE to confirm, then press Delete account. It works the same in the browser and in the app, and you can only delete your own account.

If you can no longer sign in, write to info@mancsnaptar.hu from the e-mail address you signed up with. We make sure the account is yours before we delete it.

2. Immediate and final

The account is deleted the moment you confirm. There is no grace period, and neither we nor you can bring the account back afterwards.

3. What is erased

• Your name is replaced by the label “Törölt felhasználó” (deleted user), and your username, e-mail address and sign-in id by random values that cannot be traced back.
• Your profile picture is deleted from storage for good.
• Your appearance and e-mail notification settings are deleted.
• Your notifications are deleted, and so is the record of the e-mails sent or still waiting to be sent to you.
• Your open requests are closed, and your invite links stop working.
• Your sign-in account at our authentication provider (Supabase) is deleted too. This happens automatically after the deletion, usually within a few minutes.
• If you signed in to the iPhone app with your Apple account, the app's access is revoked at Apple before the deletion.

4. What is kept, and why

• The requests you exchanged with other people stay in their history, so that it remains complete, but under the label “Törölt felhasználó” instead of your name.
• The log of the requests' steps (who sent one, who accepted it, when) is kept, tied to the deleted account that no longer identifies you.
• Database backups are deleted after 30 days, so deleted data can remain in an earlier backup for at most that long. We never restore a deleted account from a backup.

5. If you come back later

Signing in again with the same e-mail address creates a new, empty account. Your earlier data is not linked to it.
